We can no longer be silent. We stand to be a voice for those entrapped by the billion-dollar Human Trafficking industry. We want parents and grandparents to keep their children close. We will research, speak out, and protect boys and girls from sexual predators who are everywhere. View all posts by TrafficStop

I think this is a great plan! I loved reading through the banned books, and trying to wrap my head around why they would’ve been banned. I also like the Newbery books because they are such easy books to get into! If you need some suggestions on picture books, I would be glad to lend a helping hand, I have 75 on my list to read so I will let you know what is worth your time! Thanks for posting!

Well sure I take a hand few or more of recommended picture books. I have a hard time focusing on them so help is needed. Enjoy your challenge, are you starting today or tomorrow?

Elisa, I think it is awesome how you want to focus on banned books and Newberry books. These are two sections of this course that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, they are chapter books and I am planning to teach the younger grades so I shouldn’t focus on them. It will be lots of fun for you though and I can’t wait to read about them!

There is so much I need to learn, thank you for sharing both lists contain only chapter books. I wasn’t aware of that.
Have a good evening and I hope you get to more reading.

I like the plan you have mapped out for this semester. Those will be some really good books to read especially for the middle school to high school grade levels.

I sure like your thought process on how you are going to be able to read a variety of books long and short while reading picture books as well. I’m so glad we were introduced to the goodreads. There I can find recommendations from my family and friends. I’m never bored and always have my next book tucked away.
